Legal Services Block

Available on-demand, every month

Your Subscription includes a block of on-demand legal service hours per month, including phone calls, video calls, emails, revising a document, or just checking in to run an idea past us.  We want to work with you on your day-to-day employment and human rights law issues, to proactively solve problems before they become bigger and more expensive.

Need more time? More complex situations do arise (and sometimes blow up). Additional time will be charged at a blended hourly rate, billed at the traditional 6-minute increments. We value the mutual budget certainty and will work with you to stay within the subscription scope whenever possible.

– The Fine Print –

  • Subscribers must sign up for a minimum of 12 months and provide us with credit card information to charge automatically on a monthly basis through our secure online system.  Our business model of a low monthly rate assumes a mutual long-term relationship investment.
  • We break down your subscription year into quarters and you can pull unused hours forward into the next month of the same quarter. At the end of each quarter, our team will touch base with you and reconcile any overage hours.
  • Employee” refers to the following people when determining your workplace headcount on a month-to-month basis: employees, independent contractors, fixed-term contractors or employees, temporary workers, seasonal workers, students, interns and anyone else for which the company pays to perform company-related work. “Employee” excludes the owner, but does include any supervisors or managers.
  • Any time spent over the Legal Services Block is billed at a blended hourly rate.  We have set the time tier based on what our clients tend to average out each month for day-to-day legal problems, outside of litigation.
  • Our goal is to make legal services affordable to the new and small business employer.   We rely on clients remaining honest with us about their workforce size.  We ask that you update us monthly should your workforce numbers change.
  • Each subscriber enters into a client-lawyer relationship with SpringLaw and must sign our Legal Service Agreement, as per law society requirements.
